Since the creation of man, beginning with Adam, we observe that when trust failed, obedience ceased, and immediately there passed over all life a growth of mildew, and humanity failed to realize itself. Thus, the fundamental truth is taught that man can only realize his own God-created life by trusting God and walking in the way of His commandments.

All zeal for the Master of the Universe without love is utterly worthless; activity in the King’s business will not make up for the neglect of the King.

Love is God standing in relation to all of us, fulfilling His relations with all of us in accordance with the first and supreme demand: That He cares for all of us, that His thoughts and interests are not centered in Himself but go out with full sincerity and unselfish devotion to those with whom He cares for – us, His creation.
